Smyth, who founded Arbion with Greg Malone and now serves as CEO, has expertise in advising UHNWs and entrepreneurs – particularly those in the tech space – and single family offices on wide-ranging issues regarding investment management, hedge funds, venture funds and private equity. 

He tells Spear’s that his firm’s focus lies in ‘ensuring that clients have got the correct asset allocation in place ... We need to be making long-term decisions and looking forward five years as opposed to looking back.’ 

Smyth is the vice-chair of Sported, a charity aiming to use sport and physical activity to make an impact on deprived communities in the UK. He is also passionate about philanthropic initiatives with his family and says that they have recently completed building their third school in Africa.
