Farrant Group managing director Anthony Simon tells Spear’s that he helps to ‘defend and enhance’ the reputations of governments, major organisations and high-profile individuals. 

‘The broader and deeper experience we have in different areas is incredibly helpful for everyone,’ he says. ‘Quite often, the response that’s required does need that holistic viewpoint.’ A recent achievement that necessitated a more holistic approach was a landmark case which saw Simon lead Farrant Group’s communications team to support the Nigerian government in ‘successfully setting aside a $11 billion arbitral award’.

Simon is the former head of digital communication for David Cameron’s government, and a former partner in Portland’s international communications practice. Before joining Farrant in 2021, he oversaw the governmental crisis communications response to the Covid pandemic, ‘as well as strategic planning for a successful and sustained recovery’.
