Ali Hammad

Ali Hammad is a senior adviser for global UHNWs at Standard Chartered Private Bank. His hiring in 2019 was part of a concerted effort within the bank to bolster its client service operations in the MENA region. Hammad combines local insight and expertise with the bank’s global network to support his slate of UHNWs. 

Hammad has previously told the press of the importance the firm places on empowering clients to take ‘unbiased investment decisions and make the most of their wealth’. During his career he has worked in senior positions across the Middle East and London, and served as a managing director at Credit Suisse and Coutts.

Ali has most recently been appointed Senior Advisor and Global Strategic Client Partner at Standard Chartered Private Bank, based in London, with global coverage. Ali joined from Coutts in March 2019, where he had spent 7 years as Market Head for Middle East & Asia. 

During his 30 year career in financial services, Ali has held a number of senior roles at Credit Suisse and UBS and has been based in Beirut, Dubai and London. Ali is passionate about education, and in particular providing young people in the Middle East access to non formal education to round up their development and broaden their horizons. 

Ali holds a BA in Politics and Economics from the University of Denver.
