Ben Lock, managing partner of Kendal Global Advisory, has more than 25 years of experience in strategic communications.

Lock previously established Edelman’s international affairs practice, which advised governments, sovereign bodies, foundations and HNW individuals across multiple markets on their communication strategies.

At Kendal, an independent consultancy focused on reputation management, including complex cross-border challenges, he works closely with individuals and corporates facing reputational pressure across jurisdictions, often alongside their legal teams. ‘The legal strategy has to be aligned with the communication strategy,’ he tells Spear’s. He also works with his clients ahead of global events such as Davos to ‘create platforms that will help them elevate their profiles’.

His clients largely come ‘through my own contact list, reputation and referrals’, including long-standing networks across the Middle East.
