Spear’s Review
Founded in 1960, Party Planners is thought to be the longest established bespoke
events planning company in the UK. It was founded by Lady Elizabeth Anson (daughter
of Princess Anne of Denmark, goddaughter to King George VI and cousin to Queen Elizabeth II) who at 17 years old started her own business.
Now under the watchful eye of managing director Harriet Webber-Jamieson,
Party Planners is one of the most influential and recognisable
players in the events industry. The team have organised showstopping parties
in monastic ruins, Andalusian tavernas and some of London’s most iconic
landmarks, including Spencer House, Lancaster House and Claridge’s, the latter
of which hosted a garden party where Queen Elizabeth II was in attendance.
The firm made headlines in 2011 when Anson was called upon
to assist in planning the reception for the wedding of the Prince and Princess
of Wales.
