Hector Moreno is a managing director in Blackstone’s private wealth solutions team, where he leads non-institutional capital fundraising across the UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Israel and the Nordics. 

He joined the firm after a decade in private banking, and notes that demand among his clients was motivation for the move. ‘What I saw in my own book was an ever-increasing demand for access to private markets,’ he says.

Moreno partners with private banks and wealth managers – and, ultimately, their clients – to find the appropriate private market funds for client portfolios. ‘The beauty of Blackstone private wealth is that we essentially sit across the top of Blackstone,’ he tells Spear’s. ‘That means that we can offer to our distribution partners all 75-plus strategies that Blackstone offers.’
