Employment law heavyweight Nicholas Hadaway understands the struggles his clients are facing. ‘It’s an intrinsically challenging job, because you have very senior, highly intelligent, extremely stressed individuals,’ he says. ‘They have an awful lot at stake.’

High-profile senior executives, often from FTSE 100 listed companies, come to Lewis Silkin to seek Hadaway’s expertise on a range of matters, which he divides into two broad categories. On the non-contentious side, Hadaway advises on amicable exits and terminations, working on the legal issues and messaging surrounding such moves. In contentious matters, Hadaway acts for individuals involved in discrimination and whistleblowing claims, and misconduct allegations.
