Matthew Walker leads Raedas’ UAE office as well as its cryptocurrency practice, specialising in complex, high-value disputes involving both digital assets and traditional financial interests. Based in Dubai, Walker works with HNWs and UHNWs  – often those with crypto holdings or institutional and familial wealth.

His team handles matters ranging from blockchain tracing across public and private ledgers to more conventional investigative work, focusing on contentious matters, such as evidence-gathering or fact-finding in the context of litigation. ‘Essentially, we are problem-solvers,’ he tells Spear’s.

Originally trained in journalism and public affairs, Walker’s background gives him a distinctive advantage when disputes escalate into the public domain. ‘A lot of what we do as investigators ... there’s a PR aspect of it,’ he explains. This hybrid expertise allows him to navigate both the media and legal dimensions of his work.
