‘All clients have to do is send us their financials on day one, and we’ll take care of everything else,’ says Daire Dowling, partner and head of private finance at debt brokerage Carrig Private Finance. 

Dowling focuses mainly on residential and commercial assets in Western Europe and the US. He tells Spear’s that the majority of clients are referred to him by private banks, corporate sales providers, solicitors, accountants and through word of mouth.  

He explains that Carrig is equipped to serve as a one-stop shop for clients seeking lending services, including bridge loans, equity release, and buy-to-let, self-build and shariah-compliant mortgages. ‘The idea of the company is that we look after the entirety of UHNW clients’ borrowing needs,’ he says. ‘We’ll do their jet, their yacht, their villa in the South of France, the flat in London and the flat in New York.’
