Hero Lomas, a partner at Expatriate Law, specialises in international family law for British expats and globally mobile HNWs who often have complicated financial footprints and can be involved in proceedings in multiple jurisdictions.

Fluent in Portuguese and having lived in Brazil for 10 years, Lomas brings a deep cultural understanding to her cross-border work and advises on matters relating to offshore assets, foreign pensions and complex divorces.

Recently, she has seen an increase in demand for her prenuptial work. ‘I’d say five years ago I would maybe do one prenup a year, and now I’m doing one per month,’ she tells Spear’s. ‘They’re really becoming much more popular.’

Lomas joined Expatriate Law in 2017 and became a partner in 2022. She is also a trained mediator and collaborative lawyer.
