Spear’s Review

Alex Labridis, managing director of OWN LONDON, founded the firm in 2008 with a focus on construction and development; in 2020, he expanded into architecture, interior design and project management.

The studio, which specialises in private residential property, has left its mark in London, from Kensington townhouses and family homes in Knightsbridge to Holland Park mansions. Its influence also can be felt around the world, with projects taking place in France, Greece and the Middle East. Alongside these residential works, Labridis’s studio has also been involved in designing a family office space, a restaurant and the interior of Belgravia-based Tomtom cigar merchants.

While OWN LONDON doesn’t identify a specific design style, Labridis maintains that projects are influenced by minimalism, practicality and the use of colour for interesting effects. And the interdisciplinary nature of the firm has attracted a loyal base of returning clients. He tells Spear’s that clients ‘trust in the experience of the team, the knowledge that we have and the diversity of experience that we have’.
