Harry Dawes, the former head of Knight Frank’s flagship Sloane Avenue office, has dealt in prime central London for over 20 years.

Inspired by his connection with clients, he founded the buying agency Dawes London in 2021. ‘I always enjoyed acting for buyers,’ Dawes tells Spear’s. ‘I take on half a dozen clients that I can service 365 days a year.’

The firm’s primary goal is representing clients who are seeking best-in-class properties in London. In its first four years, Dawes says, the firm transacted just over £150 million. It also has embarked on some unique methods of garnering business: the agent recalls a client successfully finding their dream home after Dawes personally wrote and delivered a letter to the homeowners, who weren’t planning on selling.

Many of his transactions are off-market. ‘Discretion is paramount in our dealings,’ he notes.
