Situated in a leafy London village, Dulwich Prep London styles itself as the ‘launchpad for life’. The school takes pride in inspiring excellence, underpinned by its eight values that run throughout the curricular and co-curricular opportunities available to pupils.

Dulwich Prep London is a fast-paced academic school. Pupils generally sit in the top 10 per cent nationally based on their scores in standardised tests.

The facilities rival those of a secondary school and include spacious classrooms, a science block containing three labs, a design technology suite, a cookery suite, an observatory, a dedicated music school, a large sports hall, a studio theatre, an ICT suite, a superb art studio, a six-lane 25-metre swimming pool, woodland and more than 25 acres of playing fields.

Senior school destinations

95 per cent of Year 8 boys go on to their first-choice secondary schools, including Dulwich College, Eton College, Harrow School, Tonbridge School and Whitgift School.

Head teacher

Louise Davidson has a master’s degree in education from the University of Cambridge and has been head of Dulwich Prep since 2019.

Admissions

Dulwich Prep School offers entry points at nursery, reception, Year 3, and Year 7. The admissions process involves entrance assessments, including academic tests, interviews and activities designed to evaluate a child’s suitability. The school focuses on finding children who will thrive within its educational environment.

For entry to Year 3 and above, there are opportunities for means-tested bursaries for academically-gifted students.
