Alistair Kellie was part of the team that founded Newgate Communications in 2011, which later become SEC Newgate. ‘We saw that the world was moving in a slightly different direction – we wanted to set up a more integrated, holistic communications advisory firm,’ he tells Spear’s. Now, as head of communications in the UK, Kellie deploys more than 25 years’ experience in corporate positioning, financial communications and crisis management.

He advises a wide range of clients, from start-ups, HNWs and family businesses to multinationals and government departments, and has supported the launch of several businesses and policy campaigns. When it comes to forging client relationships, Kellie always advocates for longevity: ‘Communications should be underpinned by trust; you have to be authentic in your tone of voice.’
