So says Delphine Colombo, a champion of the capital as one of the best destinations for HNWs globally. Before setting up her own outfit, Colombo Hirst, with Lucie Hirst in 2018 to represent and act for buyers, Colombo spent 12 years with Winkworth in Knightsbridge and Hamptons in Sloane Square.

‘The profile of buyers has changed,’ she tells Spear’s, noting an increase in ‘first-generation HNWs and tech entrepreneurs’ looking to make London their home. 

She extols the benefits of using a buying agent – and their extensive book of contacts – as best-in-class, prime properties rarely get as far as reaching the open market. ‘We are careful to ensure that there are no conflicts of interest and that we are purely mandated to seek the best property for our buyers’ criteria at the best price, whilst managing the whole search and acquisition process for them.’
