Glenhawk founder and CEO Guy Harrington launched his firm because he saw ‘a gap in the market for a specialist short-term property lender who can provide new levels of transparency, simplicity and client service’. 

Now among the industry’s leading non-bank lenders, the firm was initially propped up by HNW capital and the support of Rightmove founder Harry Hill in 2018, and latterly secured £75 million in funding from Shawbrook and a large asset manager. It has since been backed by a number of investment banks, building societies and asset managers.

Harrington says his experience of developing prime properties in London helps him to understand the needs of each individual client and the demands of the ever-changing real estate landscape. He aims to provide speedy, attentive, flexible solutions to clients, and a lot of the loans are repeat businesses, he reveals: ‘We are incredibly proud of this.’
