The firm, based near Gatwick airport, was founded by Mark Hawkins in 2005 after a decade in the travel and aviation industry with providers including First Choice Holidays.
‘We are always available and can arrange any type of chartering,’ Hawkins tells Spear’s. In addition to private jets, the firm can provide commercial jet and helicopter chartering. Long-term leasing opportunities are available, as are short-term leases, with rapid turnaround. Hawkins takes a hands-on approach within the business, and says he still works closely with many of Smart Aviation’s long-standing clients.
