Dean & Waters founder Nicholas Dean has more than 40 years of experience in the yachting industry, and is well-versed in helping HNW clients with yacht management, as well as refits and new-build projects. He previously built up the prominent sales and charter firm Ocean Independence, starting the business in 2005 and selling his shareholdings in 2022.

Dean’s affinity for marine life and sailing stretches back into his early years: he completed his first yacht sale at age 20 and now prides himself on helping yacht owners and renters with the full gamut of management issues, including the tax and legal implications. 

The affable yacht broker aims to ‘safeguard’ both the investment his clients put into their purchases and the enjoyment of their asset. ‘Whatever our clients want to do yachting-wise, we’ll do it,’ he tells Spear’s.
