Nigel Bishop, founder and managing director of Recoco Property Search, has been operating in the prime property market for nigh on five decades. ‘There aren’t many good houses and places and people that I haven’t come across in that time,’ he says.
Bishop set up Recoco in 1999; first to cover the ‘very tip’ of south-west England. He has since expanded to cover the entirety of the West Country and the southern coast. Bishop’s particular specialism is waterside properties and country homes in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.
‘[Buying a home] is a very personal handholding exercise for people,’ Bishop tells Spear’s. ‘It’s not just about understanding what they want and finding it, but making sure that the whole process – finding surveyors, solicitors, architects, builders – is overseen right the way through to completion.’
