Chelsea Thoroughbreds are in the business of supplying ‘the dream’ to those who love horse racing as much as they do. The Chelsea-based racehorse ownership club sources the very best horses for flat racing and manages them in syndicates of 10 shareholders each.

Shares cost a fraction of the price of sole ownership, and clients range from first-timers to seasoned owners. ‘It’s not a mass-market offering,’ co-founder and president Richard Morecombe said.

Morecombe is a lifelong racing fanatic who has owned ‘a lot of winners’ himself, and is in charge of buying for the firm (he also runs an investment bank).
