Rupert Wertheimer heads up the block management department at Lornham, which covers residential and leasehold management services, as well as property concierge services. He has more than 15 years’ experience in the field, having previously held property management roles covering South Kensington, Chelsea and Richmond.

‘Most property managers sit behind a computer and direct operations. We are proactive, in that we visit our properties regularly, but also our clients,’ Wertheimer tells Spear’s. These clients are global, and Wertheimer notes that the firm regularly works with Middle Eastern clients. ‘Often, they don’t have the contacts or the knowledge to manage their property, so we deal with all of their property management issues.’

He’s recently noticed a trend in residential properties becoming more technical, resulting in much higher expectations from homeowners.
