He began his career at Savills and Hamptons International, where he found that the majority of property transactions occurred off-market. This brought a startling flaw to his attention: off-market sellers are rarely exposed to the full range of buyers, and, conversely, buyers are not shown all available properties that could meet their requirements.
As a solution, Wells established Invisible Homes, an off-market selling platform, in 2017. Operating in many of London’s most desirable boroughs, the firm seeks to widen the property pool for buyers while obtaining the best prices for sellers.
The site compares itself to a ‘dating app’, where buyers specify their requirements and are shown only relevant properties using an AI-powered algorithm.
