Praised for being a ‘high-quality adviser’ by a Top Flight peer, Angus Jack joined the ranks of Spear’s esteemed private client advisers in 2021. The Scotsman is head of clients and co-founder of North Capital, a boutique private investment office based in Edinburgh which specialises in advising a small number of wealthy individuals across the UK and abroad.

He began his investment management career in 1996 with Taylor Young Investment Management in London, and later moved to Cornelian Asset Managers in Edinburgh. Before founding North Capital, Jack was an executive director at UBS, where he worked for a decade and was ‘fortunate enough to work with some of the UK’s most successful and respected entrepreneurs, assisting with the full range of their investment requirements’, according to his firm.

A chartered fellow of CISI, Jack has said the primary focus of North Capital is ‘to safeguard the interests of the client and their wider family’.
