CEO and co-founder Vikash Gupta says that VAR is differentiated by its ‘independence’, ‘fees’ and ‘capital preservation’.

‘We are independent of banks and other service providers,’ he says. ‘Our fees are aligned with performance, and we have no incentive to sell products. Using dynamic asset allocation and event-driven investing, we aim to achieve superior returns and reduced volatility.’

VAR Capital typically invests in single line equities, bonds and ETFs, thus keeping portfolio expense ratios low. ‘If requested, we can create bespoke portfolios with an ESG filter. VAR Capital also can assist with lending against an assortment of assets, including commercial property, residential property, yachts, planes, businesses, etc,’ says Gupta.
