Spear’s Review

Since founding her eponymous architecture firm in 2009, Simone de Gale has gone from designing small home extensions to international commercial and residential schemes. When asked about her success, she tells Spear’s that the key ingredient is ‘the passion that I have for the job’.

Her approach combines innovation, aesthetics and sustainability, and she works with a wide range of clients, typically overseeing projects from initial conception through to completion. In one Chelsea townhouse, for example, de Gale liaised with a client’s internal team to enhance ‘functionality and aesthetic appeal’ – redesigning architectural elements and creating bespoke furniture.

‘It’s been a really exciting few years; we‘re planning on opening our first international office in 2026,’ she says. In 2024, the firm was named Small Business of the Year in the Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster Chamber of Commerce awards.
