Graham Stirk

Spear’s Review

As a senior director at RSHP (originally known as the Richard Rogers Partnership and then Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners), Graham Stirk has served as an integral voice guiding the trajectory of the firm since he joined in 1983.

With decades of experience under his belt, he is widely regarded as a pioneer in creating ‘sustainable and thought-provoking architecture for the future’.

His approach to design is described by the firm as ‘intellectually rigorous, innovative, rational and clear’, and he has consequently taken the lead in highly prestigious projects including One Hyde Park, the Macallan Distillery and the Leadenhall Building. Since 2015, Stirk has been leading the project to extend the British Library by adding 600,000sq ft of commercial space and 100,000sq ft of library facilities.
