‘Studio Mackereth takes its signature from an integrated approach that places as much importance on the interior spaces as the considered details of the architecture that defines them,’ says founder and principal Sally Mackereth. 

The firm has been praised for this approach, with one publication describing the studio’s Mews House in Hampstead as an ‘18th-century house [which] morphs into a space that is utterly contemporary ... [it’s also] dotted with architectural surprises’. In 2023, Mackereth completed construction on a new art gallery and apartment building across from the Connaught in Mayfair. Remarkably, the façade of the building was created using only two materials: handmade bricks and patinated bronze.

Mackereth’s firm is a collective of architects and designers concentrating on retail, commercial and high-end residential projects, also branching out into jewellery and furniture design.
