Arabella Lennox-Boyd

Spear’s Review

Arabella Lennox-Boyd CBE is one of the UK’s most well-known landscape designers. In a career spanning over five decades, she has created more than 700 gardens and accumulated six RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold medals.

Some of her most notable projects include the gardens at Eaton Hall in Cheshire, a rooftop garden at No.1 Poultry in the City of London, and the Airfield gardens and farm in Dublin. She has also worked on Sting’s garden in Tuscany and for the Belgian royal family. ‘Whatever project it is I work on, I don’t follow a style,’ she tells Spear’s. ‘I work towards what the place tells me.’

Lennox-Boyd has worked all around the world, designing large gardens in Europe, the US and South America. She has been awarded the prestigious RHS Veitch Memorial Medal for her work in horticulture, an honorary doctorate of design from the University of Greenwich, and a CBE in 2025.
