Spear’s Review

Paolo Moschino’s design studio, run by Philip Vergeylen, is ‘grounded in the principles of English design’ but retains a strong ‘continental flair’. 

Whether they are working on a hotel, a Highlands hunting lodge, a 19th-century French oval embroidered living room, a private home in Holland Park or a Verbier chalet, Paolo Moschino finds the ideal lighting, fabrics and furniture for each client. Their designs are dynamic and unafraid of daring colour, while still being well proportioned and ordered and entirely sympathetic to, and inspired by, each property’s architecture and personality.

‘We always work towards delivering a project which is for the client, and not for our glory,’ Moschino tells Spear’s. ‘We are here to translate the wishes of the client into reality.’ Alongside his interior design projects, Moschino also sources one-of-a-kind antiques and collectibles and has found success in designing his own cheerful furniture and wallpaper collections.
