Described as the ‘billionaire’s travel whisperer’, travel expert Henry Cookson is first and foremost an adventurer.

Cookson set up Cookson Adventures in 2009 after conducting record-breaking polar expeditions with royalty in tow. Today he leads trips that introduce people to the breathtaking beauty of rarely visited parts of the globe without endangering it.

Alongside scientists and local conservationists, as well as an experienced crew from Cookson Adventures, guests are often part of cutting-edge research and contribute positively to the communities they visit. ‘We are very adventurous, but we are also incredibly passionate about conservation,’ Cookson tells Spear’s.

All itineraries are individually tailored – ‘We build all of our trips from the ground up,’ Cookson says – and the company often sets up temporary, leave-no-trace luxury camps for clients, as it does not ‘rely on traditional luxury infrastructure’.
