Nick King, previously executive director and chief political counsel at Hanover Communications and now managing director of his own reputation and communications consultancy, Henham Strategy, is very familiar with the corridors of the Palace of Westminster.

Starting as special adviser to Maria Miller at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, King then stayed at the department to work for Sajid Javid as a policy adviser when Javid became culture secretary, moving with him to the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and then the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.

In addition to his work at Henham advising business leaders on political issues and executive coaching, King is a research fellow at the Centre for Policy Studies.
