‘We’ve been working on more projects in the US, including a family home in Washington and a private jet,’ says interior designer Katharine Pooley, who is advising a growing roster of clients based in North America while overseeing a vast number of projects across four continents. 

The Middle East continues to be a big focus, with projects in Oman and Dubai leading the charge; one notable project involved transforming a beachfront villa on The Palm. She also recently worked on a 46,000sq ft property in Qatar, creating a ‘Gatsby suite’.

‘I don’t think priorities have changed a great deal,’ she tells Spear’s. ‘Ultimately, private clients want a home that’s both beautiful and practical.’ As Pooley’s book, Journey by Design, attests, hers is a dynamic practice.
