Alexandra Richards of Howden is one of the go-to advisers for whisky and collectibles insurance for HNWs and UHNWs in the UK. With over 20 years’ experience as a private client and fine art insurance broker across London and Edinburgh, Richards specialises in reviewing, analysing, broking and creating insurance solutions for individuals as well as private and commercial clients – including galleries and public sector collections.

Richards joined Howden as a private client development executive in 2016, and started focusing on complex HNW insurance solutions, especially for ‘the more unusual, quirky risks for which a resolution can sometimes be hard to source’. Prior to that she served as a private client insurance and fine art insurance specialist at Aon.
