Charlotte Harris and Hugo Bugg founded their garden design practice, Harris Bugg Studio, in 2017 and have since established a reputation for delivering creative and eye-catching gardens. 

From their London, Exeter and Isle of Skye studios, the six-time Chelsea Flower Show Gold winners work on a wide range of projects, including high-end residential gardens, public places and historic and commercial spaces. Harris and her team have, for example, recently been appointed to revamp the landmark eco-brutalist garden at the Barbican Conservatory.

Harris tells Spear’s that the largest portion of work they do is high-end residential projects across the UK – from Cornwall to the Highlands of Scotland – and in Europe. She explains that the firm always aims to work with local artisans, materials and plant nurseries in order to keep their carbon footprint low, and to make all projects feel as authentic as possible.
