Mike Winstanley is a wealth manager at Bentley Reid, working from the company’s wealth and relationship management hub in London.

Alongside his broader investment management, retirement planning and intergenerational work, Winstanley has developed a specialism in advising clients on life insurance solutions, including whole-of-life, universal life and international policies. 

He tells Spear’s this has largely been driven by recent market instability: ‘We’re seeing interest in the concept of whole-of-life because it’s super simple,’ he says. ‘If plans change, if governments change, we can cancel the policy immediately.’

With more HNWs relocating abroad and Bentley Reid becoming increasingly known for its offshore fund solutions, Winstanley notes that he is ‘seeing a lot more clients who are based internationally’. He attributes this to the firm’s consistently strong offering: ‘We’ve continually delivered a really good service.’
