Jersey-based Ashley Cox brings 30 years of corporate experience to his role as managing director at bespoke wealth structuring firm  Whitmill Trust. As one of the senior members of the team, his day-to-day responsibilities vary from developing the team at Whitmill and establishing growth strategies to focusing on private clients and smaller fund relationships. The firm places a large emphasis on using expert knowledge by consulting geopolitical and tax specialists when assessing risk.

Cox joined Whitmill in 2020 and tells Spear’s that from the start, he noticed how different the firm was compared to others he’d worked at. ‘It’s fiercely independent,’ he says. ‘This was something different that I saw as a challenge. There’s no ambition to be very large. The intention is simply to remain very client-focused and personal.'
