Ann-Marie Powell is a multi-award-winning garden designer who has been running her own practice since 1998.
Powell works from a studio on the West Sussex/Hampshire border, creating gardens that often blend contemporary design – and unexpected materials – with a more naturalistic style. Her impressive portfolio includes Grade I- and Grade II-listed private gardens, private school grounds, roof terraces and Gold-winning show gardens at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Powell tells Spear’s: ‘The work I like to do is very much about changing people’s access to nature and to wildlife.’
In addition to her design work, she is also an accomplished writer, having published five books as well as articles that have featured in the Telegraph, the Times and the Financial Times.
