For Boodle Hatfield partner Reem Al-Jumaily, client satisfaction is paramount. ‘It’s about the hand-holding and personalised service. That’s crucial for us,’ she tells Spear’s. 

Al-Jumaily, who joined the firm in 2016, specialises in UK residential property sales and acquisitions, including prime central London properties and development projects. 

Tasked with building Boodle Hatfield’s international client base, her fluency in Arabic has proven invaluable. ‘I was born and bred in the UK and then summoned to Arabic school by my parents,’ she says. ‘My fluency in Arabic has been brilliant for my career.’ 

While her clients are largely from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE, she also deals with clients from countries such as France, India and Taiwan. Wherever they’re from, Al-Jumaily says that, ultimately, ‘What’s important with international clients is that you’re able to explain complex legal terms in simple day-to-day English.’

In 2021, she was appointed as a UK ambassador of the Women Lawyers Group Middle East, an organisation that aims to enhance the professional development of women in the legal field in the Middle East.
