Spear’s Review 

Ben Horne is head of country buying at Middleton Advisors, where he acts for private clients who are looking to acquire high-value country property in south-west England. 

Horne completed his first degree at the Royal Agricultural College and went on to serve in the armed forces before embarking on a career in property. 

He explains to Spear’s that what he enjoys most about working for Middleton is that they only take on a small number of clients at any given time, ‘meaning we get to know them really well, which is essential if we are to properly understand their aspirations’. 

Horne also holds a master’s degree in land management and wrote an award-winning thesis on how to improve energy efficiency in listed buildings.
