Litigation hotshot Charles Fussell knows the value of flexibility when it comes to getting results. ‘The guiding principle with any dispute is to find a solution that best fits the matter at hand,’ he said. ‘Sometimes that involves diplomacy, and at other times it requires tanks on the lawn.’

In 2007, he launched his own firm, specialising in advising private clients, families and owner/managers of businesses, rather than large corporates. ‘The firm does pure commercial litigation. We don’t do anything else; we’re not a full service firm. Clients tend to run their own companies – often quite successful ones,’ he said.
