Appleby partner Garry Manley advises on a broad range of Isle of Man and British Virgin Islands corporate transactions, heading up the firm’s corporate practice group and funds and investment services team on the Isle of Man.

Manley has extensive experience advising on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, venture capital and private equity investments. He has a particular focus on regulated financial services, insurance businesses, regulatory matters, including contentious cases, and crypto assets.

After training at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, he worked abroad in Hong Kong and New York before returning to the UK and ultimately settling on the Isle of Man. His notable work includes advising on a $3.3 billion three-way merger and advising WH Ireland on the sale of its Isle of Man private client operation to Ravenscroft Holdings.
