Tim Fowler joined Lee & Thompson more than a decade ago, after first realising a passion for music and entertainment law at Russells and then Harbottle & Lewis.

In addition to advising his clients on their legal needs – including copyright, intellectual property and commercial contract matters – Fowler is a trusted aide to many professional and touring musicians, from their first steps in the industry to global stardom.

He tells Spear’s: ‘A lot of our work is understanding the industry in which they operate, advising them and guiding them. It might sometimes be about their next step or strategic advice more than certain other areas of law, which might be more focused on technical, legislative or case-law issues. Ours is a strategic business adviser type role, obviously with contracts at its core.’
