‘I’m very comfortable to lay claim to being the top private aviation attorney internationally, outside the US, who focuses on just ultra-high-net-worth individuals,’ Paul Jebely told Spear’s. The personable lawyer is a cross-border operator who is based in Withers’ Hong Kong offices and heads up the firm’s global aviation and marine practice.
Jebely has advised clients on transactions which are worth ‘well over’ $20 billion, he said, adding that the vast majority of these cover jets, with around 5 per cent of his work covering yacht transactions.
Formerly a private wealth partner at Pillsbury in Hong Kong, Jebely joined Withers as partner and global head of asset finance in 2022. He is founder and chair of the Hague Court of Arbitration for Aviation, which launched at the Farnborough International Air show in 2022. He is qualified to practice law in England, the US (New York and Washington state) and Canada (Ontario).
