Since acquiring the former Launton RAF bomber station back in 2013, Dan Geoghegan has transformed Bicester Motion, formerly known as Bicester Heritage, into a haven for collectors and dealers alike.

Around 50 car specialists are now based in the over 400-acre site, and its increasingly frequent events draw thousands of car enthusiasts from all over the globe. ‘It’s almost a country club environment,’ Geoghegan says, ‘where you can find an upholsterer and an exhaust manufacturer, a radiator maker, a Bentley specialist, insurance and travel rally organisers.

‘Having a business in Bicester is like being strapped to a rocket. For the first time ever, you have a one-stop shop where you can buy and sell a vehicle, keep it here, take part in the events, but also benefit from skills and reassuring knowledge.’

Bicester Motion continues to expand, with plans for more accommodation, office, workshop and display space to cope with ever-increasing visitor numbers.
