Tom Bolt’s Watch Guru business is divided into two sections. There’s the ‘Watch Guru’, for collectors seeking pieces valued at up to £39,000, and then there’s the ‘Big Boy’s Toys’ for anything above that. 

His business caters ‘for those in the grips of the horrendously progressive disease of watch collecting’, he tells Spear’s with a laugh. 

Bolt himself became interested in horology over 30 years ago and has since become recognised as a true guru of the watch world, writing about them, speaking about them on television and even designing for Richemont.

He has also co-written books on horology, including The Ultimate Rolex Daytona.
