Stephanie Roe started her own firm, Roe Lawyers, in 2015 in order to offer clients a full service around their criminal defence needs, from bribery and corruption claims, serious crime accusations, fraud and misconduct.
‘I had a growing reputation and was getting referrals for me specifically, and I wanted to set up a niche boutique firm where things were done differently, where there was more of a focus on the personal service for clients,’ she tells Spear’s. ‘We’d take on a small volume of cases but do them very well to a high standard so the clients feel they have received the best service and achieved the best outcomes for them.
‘I am their lawyer, but I’m also there to deal with a lot of peripheral matters that come up as a result of proceedings.’
