Kajal Aswani, previously a partner at Gall Solicitors, moved to Hong Kong-based firm Hugill & Ip in 2023. 

Aswani is a highly skilled dispute resolution lawyer who has significant experience when it comes to advising HNW individuals on complex family law matters. She has particular expertise in family disputes and matrimonial proceedings that involve substantial assets and cross-border elements. Her reported cases include HJFG v KYC [2012] 1HKLRD 95, which helped to define maintenance allowance while a case is pending.

She is a founding member of the South Asian Lawyers Group, a Hong Kong-based organisation that provides a networking platform for law students and legal professionals of South Asian origin. 

Having been born in Hong Kong to an internationally minded family, Aswani is fluent in English, Cantonese, Hindi and Sindhi.
