With more than three decades of family law experience, Pauline McNamara has brought her expertise to JMW as a consultant partner following an eight-year run heading up MSB Solicitors’ private client team.

She said: ‘The thing about family – it’s everything. It’s trusts of land, understanding companies, it’s every single aspect of law – not just the basic drafting of a divorce petition. I really do think it encompasses everything, and it’s always developing.’

As keen to look after her clients’ well-being as she is their legal requirements, McNamara and her team encourage their charges to see counsellors they recommend if they are finding the process traumatic. ‘Then they can come back when they’re emotionally strong enough to see things through. I don’t just rush into it until they can give me the instruction and we’re a proper team moving forward.’
