Kelly A. Frawley is head of New York firm Kasowitz Benson Torres’s matrimonial and family law practice, taking on cases that involve complex financial and custodial issues such as equitable distribution of assets, custody, child and spousal support.

Working with a wide range of clients, including entrepreneurs, those with inherited wealth, senior executives and stay-at-home spouses, Frawley has a great deal of knowledge of the motivations and frustrations of all parties in family break-ups. ‘I really like that approach, because I think it helps to have that perspective,’ she says.

Frawley enjoys bringing a collaborative approach to her cases. ‘We don’t need to bring any more acrimony than the spouses probably already have. People think of divorces as the Wars of the Roses, but a lot of what we do is just akin to a business dissolution with very emotional shareholders.’
