Georg Schulthess

Prof Dr Georg Schulthess is chief medical officer at The Kusnacht Practice, a leading treatment centre on the shores of Lake Zurich. His role is to ensure that the entire practice ‘continuously strives for the highest quality of medical care and services’.

Schulthess was previously medical director at Männedorf Hospital and has been a partner at The Kusnacht Practice since it was opened in 2007 by Canadian addiction counsellor Lowell Monkhouse. He studied medicine at the University of Zurich, where he secured a professorship in 2008. He has also worked for other high-quality medical institutions and spent time in Bhutan at the Lhuentse Hospital, helping to treat local people suffering from tuberculosis and leprosy.

He has conducted extensive research into epidemiological, clinical and molecular aspects of the pathogenesis, prevention and therapeutic treatment of internal diseases.
